Baby Benjamin was born this morning at 9:30ish.
He was on oxygen for awhile and now he's off. He's got a grunt that is getting better.
The thing with the grunt is that if it doesn't totally go away they will vent him because he is working too hard to breathe and they want him to work harder on growing. We'll know more in the morning.
He weighed 5 lbs. 2 ozs. Pretty big boy for being seven weeks early!
He's really cute. No really. . . he's in a little isolette and attached to IV's and other monitors so right now we can only touch his feet. But he is really cute! He's very pink too which is a great sign!
I am so thankful that he is ok. It puts my pregnancy into prespective because I was whining and moaning about my back and how uncomfortable I am. I won't stop whining but I really am very lucky.
So raise your glasses to Benjamin Edward Moe. A little early, a little cute, but definately a little miracle!!

Ooooh, congrats on becoming an auntie! How exciting! Next you need to post a picture of the little guy.
Our most sincere congratulations go out to Stacey and her husband. Please pass that along for us.
Just another miracle to prove to us that God is listening and answers the prayers of many.
What a very joyous day.
Great news!
Holy carp, I'm without internet for two days and look what happens!
A big congratulations, sigh of relief, and praise for modern medicine! I can't wait to see pictures of little Benjamin. You (or Moe, really) must get close-ups of Stacey's hands around Benjamin's little feet inside the incubator.
How is Stacey feeling? I'm assuming they did a C-section because of her placenta? Tell her lots of ice, ask a nurse for an abdominal binder (helps hold things in so you don't feel like your guts are spilling to the floor), and as much fiber as she can stand so that first REAL trip to the bathroom doesn't end up being more traumatic than the birth...Was that TMI?
Surely it was scary to have him come early, but look at the bright side. Now he won't get ripped off so bad on his birthday each year because it won't be the week before Christmas!
Hugs to Stacey and Moe, and here's wishing you a really good back rub from Dan!
